We provide a full range of virtual, non-geographic telephone numbers not just from the UK, but from countries all around the world.
Types of NGN available - explained in plain English!
0800 / 0808 – Freephone - The call is entirely free to the caller when calling from a landline, however mobile operators generally charge a higher rate. Inbound charges apply to calls received.
0845 – Local rate - Calls from a BT landline are charged at local rate, however calls from other mobile networks and other operators vary.
0843 / 0844 – By far the most popular number range available in the UK today, 0843 & 0844 number ranges are charged to the caller at a rate of 5ppm.
0870 – National Rate - The caller now pays the standard UK national rate when calling from a BT landline, however calls made from mobile networks or other operators vary. Inbound charges now apply on 0870 calls received.
0871 / 0872 – charged to the caller at a rate 10ppm.
Geographic Numbers / Arecall
Create the impression of having a virtual “2nd office”, e.g. a Manchester business can obtain themselves a London “0208” number and point it to the Manchester office. We can also provide virtual area code numbers for many international towns & cities around the world. These numbers allow end-user clients the ability to have a presence in locations abroad without needing a physical office or landline. We can also port your existing BT landline to ICS so that in the event of a power cut or bad weather, you can just simply re-route your inbound calls to another landline or mobile of your choosing, within seconds.
International Freephone Numbers
The caller pays a normal local or national call charge relevant to the country/location they are calling. Inbound charges apply to calls received, with the price being specific to each country/location. We can provide freephone numbers for many countries worldwide, allowing end-user clients the ability to market themselves and have a presence in locations abroad without needing a physical office or landline. The call is free to the caller from a landline, however some local mobile network operators may charge. Inbound charges apply to calls received, with the price being specific to each location.
03 Numbers
Local Rate, costing the same to call as a local landline call, even mobile networks charge at local rates and most mobile providers include 03 numbers as “inbundle” minutes
0333 Numbers
0333 number ranges have been launched recently for use within commercial organisations, and are very caller friendly, especially from mobiles, as the caller pays the same standard national call charge as when dialling 01 or 02 numbers. The caller pays the standard national charge rate either from a landline or a mobile phone, with calls received by the end user subject to a small pence per minute charge.
0300 numbers
0300 numbers are for the exclusive use of the public sector or not for profit organisations and charities. These numbers are very caller friendly as they allow people to identify the type of organisation they are calling and that standard charges apply.
The caller pays the standard national charge rate either from a landline or a mobile phone, with calls received by the end user subject to a small pence per minute charge.
09 Numbers
Premium Rate numbers. Some companies sometimes use 09 numbers as their technical support or competition lines, the caller pays a high rate (and sometimes a connection fee as well) and the owner of the 09 number earns revenue. These numbers however are subject to approval from Phonepayplus.
IVR Auto Attendant
We can set you up with an intelligent virtual receptionist with a number of initial options along with many further sub level options. Personalised audio can be recorded via either a dial-in service, using the iPhone application, or uploaded straight from a PC
Call Recording
Like all ICS services, Call Recording is a network-based application which can be activated instantly on any ICS number in seconds, without the need to pre-order. Recordings can either be downloaded from the number manager web portal, or delivered by email or FTP at the end of each call.
Call Recording is available on all ICS inbound numbers (even ported BT landline numbers), and outbound IDA/CPS call traffic.
Call Queuing
This is a network-based call queuing application, which holds calls when destination numbers are found to be busy. This is a true queuing service, where the longest waiting caller is put through next, and offers huge capacity allowing for hundreds or even thousands of calls to be queued simultaneously where required. Calls-inqueue reporting is available through the Number Manager web portal allowing the end-user customer to see live details of their waiting calls and caller information. Personalised audio can be recorded via either a dial-in service, or uploaded straight from a PC.
Fax to Email
This service allows any ICS number to be converted in to a fax receiving telephone number in seconds, allowing end-users to receive faxes by email wherever they choose or may be. End-users can have each document delivered to multiple email address at the same time, with the service able to receive virtually unlimited faxes simultaneously, meaning no engaged tones for the fax sender.
Easy to use web-based portal!
Number Manager Web Portal
Number Manager, available exclusively through ICS, is the new market-leading web application platform that gives the ability to self-build and self-manage all inbound numbers & services through a single web portal.
Interacting live with our inbound platform, Number Manager offers amazing functionality and control, allowing channel partners to self-build and self manage every ICS service we offer quickly, easily and in real-time, without the need to contact us or place manual orders.
