Digital Airtime

Broadband Services

Choosing the correct product for you!

Many different Internet service providers offer broadband connections in the shape of ADSL. On the face of it, it would appear that the only thing to discriminate between one service and another is price - this is far from true!

Digital Telecom Airtime uses Exa Networks for Broadband solutions because of their fantastic range of 1:1 contention broadband solutions. This means we can offer you faster and more reliable broadband solutions compared to most other providers.

Types of Broadband available - explained in plain English!

ADSL - Basically the product that everyone refers to as broadband.

  • An upload speed of up to 256Kbps.
  • Download speeds of up to 2Mbps
  • No contention ratio applied within Exa's Network (1:1 contention)
  • UK based technical support; no automated systems or queuing.
  • Free consultation and advice.
  • Monthly contracts - no long term tie in.
  • No hidden costs or fees

FIXED SPEED BUSINESS ADSL

Many different Internet service providers offer broadband connections in the shape of ADSL. On the face of it, it would appear that the only thing to discriminate between one service and another is price - this is far from true!

In common with most ADSL services in the UK, Exa uses BT's telephone infrastructure as a conduit for transferring data.

But here's where Exa are different - Exa genuinely understand there IS a huge difference between what a broadband home user wants, and what business users need - a reliable, extremely fast, secure service, with virus free email with outstanding customer service with that personal touch. Therefore Exa ensure that their services are tailored and optimised with these requirements in mind.

Exa's broadband connections have no restrictions on service, such as port blocking, usage caps or speed limiting.

Unlike many of the 'cheap' home user ADSL connections available on the market, these are backed up by Exa's business class technical support.

Whilst many providers now only provide the "Max" version of Up To 8Mbps, there are very good technical reasons to have the Fixed Line ADSL products as opposed to the variable speed Max based ones.

ADSL 2+

Broadband, but faster ! We offer two ADSL 2+ products, BusinessBand Pro and BusinessBand Corporate

Next Generation Broadband

ADSL 2+ or Next Generation Broadband as the media likes to refer to it, is effectively ADSL 2.0, faster upload speeds or upto 2.5Mpbs and download speeds of upto 20Mbps offer a genuine alternative to leased lines.

For many the lower upload speeds of standard ADSL limited their ability to move from much more expensive leased lines, or stopped solutions, such as streaming HD CCTV images over IP, from even being possible.

Now with the advent of ADSL 2+ those sort of solutions and many more are absolutely viable.

BusinessBand Pro

BusinessBand Pro is an ADSL 2+ product with upload speeds of upto 1.3Mpbs and Download Speeds of up to 10Mbps.

  • Upload speeds of up to 1.3Mpbs
  • Download speeds of up to 10Mbps
  • No data transfer limits
  • Inclusive content filtering if required
  • No contention within Exa's network (1:1 contention)

BusinessBand Corporate

BusinessBand Corporate is our fastest ADSL 2+ product with upload speeds of up to 2.5Mpbs and Download Speeds of up to 20Mbps.

  • Upload speeds of up to 2.5Mpbs
  • Download speeds of up to 20Mbps
  • Ideal for larger offices or very heavy users
  • No data transfer limits
  • No contention within Exa's network (1:1 contention)

Leased Line - Private line

Despite the arrival of ADSL and SDSL, the need for Leased Lines and Private Circuits has not vanished as some experts predicted, in fact if anything the market is becoming more buoyant.

In the past couple of years in has become more and more costs effective for businesses and schools to put in connections such as dedicated 100Mbps. Whilst they are still more expensive than Broadband services, they offer speeds that no broadband service in the UK can touch.

If you really do need very high connectivity speeds, a Leased Line is the way to go.

  • Various pricing and bandwidth options from 2Mbps upwards.
  • No contention ratio applied on any leased line. Bandwidth is guaranteed.
  • Service Level Agreement of 99% physical uptime.
  • No port blocking or service restrictions.
  • Virus scanning on all incoming emails and attachments
  • Technical support from real people who understand your problems via local call rate telephone number or email.
  • 24x7 monitoring of the connection.
  • Free consultation and advice prior to even ordering the leased line, to make sure you get the right product and service.
  • Annual contract, no long term tie in.
  • No hidden costs or fees.

Exa have a very simple, if a customer needs help then they will help them there and then.

How about one that does not operate an automated phone and queuing system, but one who answers phone calls by a real person within 15 seconds during normal support hours of 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 4pm Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.

Exa also have real technicians who help you out with your technical support queries, not people who read off of a script, this team WILL be able to help you on all of your Exa services queries, no automated ticketing system, no being passed between ten different departments before help arrives.
